Privacy Policy

The Fisherman's Wife uses Bridge Store for electronic commerce transactions, electronic news sharing, and other digital media communication.

Privacy and Security
Bridge Store is a service provided by Solarek Studio, LLC, and hereafter at times referred to as "Bridge" or "we". We value our customers and respect their privacy. We collect customer information in an effort to improve your shopping experience and to communicate with you about our products, services, and other promotions. As described in this Privacy Policy, we do share certain customer information, under certain circumstances, with third parties that provide services on our behalf or with whom we have partnered to enable the Bridge to function and serve its purpose.

Third parties
Please carefully review this Privacy Policy to learn about how we collect, use, and protect any information you provide us and how you can manage your options not to have customer information disclosed. Because the Internet is global, information about you that we collect or that you submit may be transferred to, processed in, and held in countries (including the United States) other than the one in which you reside. By using the Web Site, you explicitly consent to such use of your information.

Where you go and what you do
When you visit the Web Site, we collect aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, how many visits we get, and information such as where visitors arrived from on the Internet or if they directly typed our Web Site address into their Web browser. We use this information for internal review.

Our Web Site uses "cookies." A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your Web browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Generally, we use cookies to remind us of who you are, tailor our products and services to suit your personal interests, estimate our audience size, process your orders, and/or analyze your visiting patterns. The use of cookies is an industry standard; you will find them at most major Web sites. Cookies make Web-surfing easier for you by saving your preferences while you are at our Web Site. We never save credit card or other payment information in cookies. You can generally set your Web browser not to accept cookies or to notify you when you are sent a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. If you set your Web browser not to accept cookies, it may affect your ability to utilize all features on the Web Site.

Your e-mail address
Your e-mail address and other personally-identifying data are known to us when you check out via a retailer's Bridge checkout.

If you place an online order, you will automatically receive an order confirmation e-mail.

Customer information
We send your shipping and payment address to the business (e.g. The Fisherman's Wife) on whose Bridge Store you are shopping.

If you have given us your telephone number when registering your profile or when ordering merchandise, the business on whose Bridge you are shopping may contact you to gauge your satisfaction with their products and services.

We maintain all of the information you give to us to help serve you better and to understand our customers and their purchasing patterns over time. For example, a business may use our system to view past orders.

We may contract with companies or persons to provide certain services including credit card processing, data management, and how visitors use the Web Site, etc. We call them our Service Providers. We provide our Service Providers with the information needed for them to perform these services. We also ask our Service Providers to confirm that their privacy practices are consistent with ours.

Other disclosure scenarios
We may share your information: (1) in response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; (2) if we believe it is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person or property; (3) to our parent company, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control with us (in which case we will require such entities to honor this Privacy Policy); and (5) if we are acquired by or merged with another entity.

Problems
If you ever have a problem concerning the Web Site or an order or transaction or our compliance with this Privacy Policy, you may e-mail members@bridge.org. Please provide your first and last name, and we will get back to you promptly. We also encourage you to contact the business (The Fisherman's Wife) on whose Bridge you are purchasing the item(s).

Security
We use encryption and authentication tools to protect the security of customer information that you share with us. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect customer information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our Web Site, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we will do our best to protect its security on our systems.

We urge you to keep your password in a safe place and not to divulge it to anyone. Also remember to sign off your account and close your browser window when you have finished your visit. This is to ensure that others cannot access your account, especially if you are sharing a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place such as a library.

Links to third-party Web sites
Our Web Site may contain links to Web sites operated and maintained by third parties, over which we have no control. For example, Authorize.net is a large credit card gateway network with which we may work. Privacy policies on such linked Web sites may be different from our Privacy Policy. You access such linked Web sites at your own risk. You should always read the privacy policy of a linked Web site before disclosing any personal information on such site.
